CMS has confirmed that it is delaying the filing deadlines of certain cost report due dates due to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.
Per CMS, the filing deadlines for the following will be extended to June 30, 2020:
FYE October 31, 2019 and
FYE November 30, 2019
The filing deadline for FYE December 31, 2019 cost reports is now July 31, 2020.
Providers do not need to make a request for an extension. It is granted automatically.

Version 1.9.2 of WinLASH 222-17 for the Rural Health Clinic Medicare Cost Report is now available for download from our website. Version 1.9.2 incorporates CMS Flash #9 which removes the HRSA Award Number field from Worksheet S-1, Part I.
The new Medicare Cost Report e-Filing system (MCReF) gives Medicare Part A providers the ability to file 100% of their cost report, including supporting documentation, online.

Version 3.3.0 of WinLASH 1984-14 for the Medicare Hospice Cost Report is now available for download from our website. Version 3.3.0 incorporates CMS Flash #3 which revises the language of edit 1050A and changes the effective date of this edit from periods ending on or after 6/1/2018 to periods ending on or after 9/1/2018.
